Triptykon is a musical project of Thomas Gabriel Fischer, founding member of the pioneering heavy metal bands Hellhammer, Celtic Frost and Apollyon Sun. Fischer announced his departure from Celtic Frost in May 2008 and shortly afterwards revealed his new project would be entitled Triptykon. The name of the band is a play on the word "triptych", because Triptykon is founding member Thomas Gabriel Fischer's third project after Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. The band logo is inspired by a writing pattern used in Weimar Republic. Current members are: Tom Gabriel Warrior - voice, guitars, V. Santura - guitar, vocals, Vanja Slajh - bass, vocals and Norman Lonhard - drums, percussion.

After waiting four years “Melana Chasmata” their second full-length album. Overview more than an hour Gothic/Doom/Death/Black Metal. Some tracks a little bit slower some speedy tracks. The slower are more grimmer, darker and deeper. Like the second track “Boleskine House” the combination with the bass from Vanja and the floortoms from Norman how deep can you go… great song one of my favorites. First I thought this album will beat “Eparistera Daimones” but after listening Demon Pact there is a dip. “In the sleep of death” is a boring song and don’t get my approvals. And then the longest track “Black Snow” more than twelve minutes but it not my cup of tea some as the present track to boring… a pity. First six song are very good just enough to buy this record. Good quality and sphere.
