Retrovati is a one-man instrumental project originated by Panama City (Panama, Central America) born multi-instrumentalist Jose Pimentel, whom today lives in Chicago (Illinois, USA).
Dean Meehan is a Canadian (from Niagara Falls, Ontario) whom has been working in the music business for over 25 years now, both as a musician and behind the scenes with bands such as Blue Rodeo, Kiss, The Rolling Stones, The Tragically Hip, Great Big Sea, Kim Mitchell, Three Days Grace, Tom Cochrane, Matthew Good, The Guess Who and Saga...to name but some of the better known.
Not a lot of info on this English band, because the trio from the Essex region is only a young band, formed in late 2011 when, on December 19, singer/ guitarist Nathan “Papa Justify” Lusher and singer/ bassist Julia “Okra” Clark held an audition to incorporate Dan “Bongo Spud Gun” Brown into their band as drummer.

Almost a decade before one Steve Harris would start up what was to become one of the more successful Heavy Metal bands still around (somewhere in 1966 to be more precise, bassist Barry Skeels, singer Steve Drewett and guitarist Chris Rose (whom had that far been active in an acoustic band) witnessed a performance of Cream at their school hall in Basildon (Southern border of Sussex, some 50 km East from the center of London)!
Oh my, changes, changes...that certainly is a theme here! First of all, changes in my professional life caused the review of this album (as well as some 50 others) to be somewhat delayed, as those changes caused me to attract writers' block.
Perhaps better known for his contributions on the keyboards and being the mastermind behind the likes of Twinspirits, the Genius Rock Opera, Cosmics and Khymera, Daniele Liverani is also a guitarist of some considerable skills, which he sufficiently proves with this 3rd instrumental album, delivered under his own name, on which he again plays the guitar.
