There have been but a few albums where upon the first listening I got an immediate ‘Whow’ effect.  Well this second album by Greek/German band Redrum had that effect on me.

The melodic hard rock these guys play is just astounding.  Of course it always helps if you’ve got a great shouter like Michael Borman behind the microphone, but that alone is not enough to make it a killer album. The other musicians also do their utmost best to lift this album up, great keyboards by MarcoGrasshoff, good dual guitar work by Panos Baxevanis and Athan  “Lyssa” Kazakis, and do not forget the rhythm section, consisting of Thanos Sarketzis on drums, and Alex Kidd on bass.

They have managed to chock 11 own, fantastic and catchy songs on this album, as well as a cover version of John Farnhams (great) song ‘You’re The Voice’.

This is an album that fans of Whitesnake, Jaded Heart, Gotthard……will like. It’s as if we’re gone back to the heydays of hard rock music.
