The 9th Cell is a Portuguese one man band consisting of David Pais who actually did most of the stuff on this record. This David (who is a complete stranger to me) has released lots of albums under his own financing and has been active since 2005. Which is rather strange because like i said this is a stranger to me on whom it is difficult to find info on and his press sheet was quite short.
The 9th Cell is more a one-man project than a real band, since almost everything on this record was written and played by David Pais, a Portuguese born guy, who has been active in the music business in the past, but this is his very first release on a record label. He got the aid of some guests for some of the vocals though.
This is a Portuguese industrial rock band, created in 2010 by the multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Carlos Sobral and the writer and lead singer Pedro Sazabra, the only permanent members. They released their first album “A Divina Maldade” in 2011 and will release their new album “Almas Envenenadas” in July.
