KomaH

Spinal Records are like a premier label for the Belgian scene with a limited amount of quite interesting releases on its roster in mean time. You can find some reviews on Concreteweb for bands just like Exuviated (update of December 28th 2015), Hell City (see upload December 1st 2014), Drakkar (November 10th 2014) or Deepshow (published on April 29th 2015).

Deepshow

I have no idea why I do have the ‘honour’ to write a review about Deepshow’s debut, for this isn’t usually ‘my kind of stuff’. But actually, I am not mad / sad about this decision, for it was quite an interesting experience.

Hell City

We Belgians should be proud of ourselves.  Despite not being promoted as much as non-metal bands, our little country does produce some fine metal bands.  You’ve got Channel Zero of course, but there are many other bands as well, and one of these is Hell City, hailing from Hoeselt.

Hell City

Hey, hey...4 years after having been exposed to this Belgian Heavy Metal band for the first time (at the opportunity of the release of their debut EP Here Comes The Sin, a review for which was posted on 10/03/2010), I find myself back in good company, the composition of which however changed somewhat over time!

Drakkar

One of the many bands called Drakkar is the one this review deals with (evidently; otherwise it would be way too stupid to have such intro and not to deal with the matter…). This Belgian act started more than three decades ago, and in 1988 they came up with a first full length, X-Rated, released via France’s New Musidisc. Shortly after, the band underwent a first break, followed by a short resurrection at the end of last century.
