Idolize by Sofy Major starts off with the following words: "I am the devil and I'm here to do the devil's work".
Sofy Major is a noise rock band from France who have just released their second album, called Idolize. The writing process for this record started with high expectations: the band flew over to Brooklyn, New York to record together with Andrew Schneider, also known from the American hardcore metal band Converge. Unfortunately, hurricane Sandy passed right over the studio, destroying all material by Sofy Major. Luckily, they got the patience and help to do everything again.
The nice voice of singer Mathieu Moulin, makes Idolize a pleasant album to listen to. You can compare their music best to The Melvins and High On Fire. Steven The Slow, the third song on the album, contains some guest vocals by Dave Curan.

Idolize is a great noise rock record by the Frenchies in Sofy Major that surprisingly succeeds to put your mind at ease.
