Soleil Moon Is only a duo, formed by singer Larry King (current singer in the Michael Thompson Band) and keyboardist John Blasucci (current keyboarder with Dennis DeYoung (ex Styx)).   Of course for this record they were assisted by other talented musicians like Leland Sklar, Michael Thompson and others.

This is an album that’s destined for those that are in the softer side of rock. Larry King has a voice that seems made for AOR music, at times sounding a bit like Richard Marx. The music itself is basically AOR, but with excursions into many other musical genres, like blues, funk, jazz, and others.

As a matter of fact this is an album that you should play a couple of times, to really experience and enjoy the songs. Thus, this is not an album for you if you’re into harder rock, but when you can enjoy a good tune, that’s well performed, you should give this a try.
