We all know that Nuclear War Now! Productions’ commitment is ‘to unearth the ugliest, gnarliest metal the underground has to offer’, and that’s why this mighty label did release Unholy Union, the first demo of Chilean act Athanatos, on vinyl. Unholy Union stands for fourteen minutes of technically high-leveled, ultimately obscure and extremely harsh, pounding Morbid Death Metal from the Old School. Injected with blackened Thrash-elements, this old styled Death Metal is so persuasive and addictive, penetrated with a huge variation in structure and tempo, and blessed with a sound so rough, so nasty, so glorious…

What if Axegrinder or Possessed were re-adapted by Portal? What if NunSlaughter and Amebix joined forces to cover some Bolt Thrower-meet-Pestilence hybrid? The answer might be: Athanatos!

Nothing more to add, just this: a full length LP or CD soon, please! Show the audience (and undersigned) that this EP isn’t just a coincidence… And to you, dear reader: check this stuff out! It is worth it!
