Like Elephants 1 (Like Elephants 2 is scheduled for release in early 2014) is a 11 track CD full of beautiful masterpieces that are performed with so much feeling and passion, the intensity of each track is so deep you wonder what was going around the time of writing and recording. This band certainly has listened a lot to Velvet Underground, Syd Barrett, The Beatles, Electric Prunes, Roky Erickson and Spacemen 3. The songs “Boogin”, “Great deceiver”  and “Ingenting kommer ur ingenting” are full of hallucinogenic images that will grab the listener from the beginning. The rhythm section is swinging and perfectly suited to the material. Decent vocals with a not-too-wide range, catchy melodies at times, lush and slick at others, hard-punching beats, sixities keyboards, hauntingly solos and pathos-inducing rhythms which spans the emotions, and is all at once inspirational and motivational. The Movements is certainly a competent bunch of musicians and they have made a CD that would be enjoyed by any fan of sixties/psych acid rock. This Swedish bunch is rather inventive in different tones and approaches, adding some variety to the already wacky tracks. They are obviously talented and have a good thing going for themselves..

I hope to catch the band quite soon…
