Sammy Hagar is an all-rounder, but if he excels in anything it’s certain in Blues/Soul music topped with a rocky sound. In addition, he is helped by his friends. that can only sound good in my opinion.

It’s since 2008 that Hagar yet released a solo album.

It's an album based on his roots. It’s professionally mixed and mastered by the team (Sammy Hagar, John Cuniberti and Jaimeson Durr).

‘Winding Down’

The raspy voice of Sammy and the proper interplay of acoustic and electric guitar with the additional bleus voice of Taj Mahal has become a catchy song.

‘Not Going Down’

A song with a dark side. The backing vocals add some Blues and Soul to the song.

‘Personal Jezus’

A cover of Depeche Mode topped with a rocky sound, there is a certain shwung sammy puts in his voice. Otherwise there was nothing changed in the song.

‘Father Sun’

it is a duet with Hagar's son “Aaron Hagar”. It's become a clap along song with accordion and mandolin, but not convincing enough. Aaron can only be heard in the backing vocals.

‘Knockdown Dragout’

This song has become a Punky and lively track, with the help of “Kid Rock”.

There is some wilder vocal use.

‘Ramblin Gamblin Man’

Again a song with vocals by “Kid Rock”. It's a song back in time: the 60s.Written ”Bob Seger

‘Margaritaville’

A country song with vocals of “Toby Keith”.

‘All We Need Is An Island’

This song is a calm song with Ukelele in it with vocals of “Nancy Wilson”.

‘Going Down’ (live in Studio-Take 1)

The last track of the album was written by “Don Nix”.

It leans close to the style of Chickenfoot (Sammy Hagar project) it can’t be otherwise, 3/4th of the band is playing on it. Sammy Hagar singing, “Chad Smith“ on the drums and “Michael Anthony” on bass. Only Neal “Schon” is the only odd man out.

A Great CD from Sammy Hagar and his friends.
