Aeon

As appetizer: check out the reviews (professionally and grimly) done for this splendid website in our archives section for Aeon’s former releases.

Neaera

The last thing we’ve heard of Neara was their fifth album ‘Forging’ The Eclipse’ in 2010. The years after where very busy. They shared the stage with Parkway Drive, System Of A Down,… They were honored to be chosen by German Metal Hammer magazine to contribute a cover version of Metallica’s “Through The Never” to the bonus cd of the magazines ‘Black Albem 20 years anniversary’.

Shai Hulud

It is no secret that Shai Hulud (the worms out of Dune’s novels) are one of US pioneer metalcore bands. Starting in 1995, there have been more than twenty musicians playing in this band, and apart from a longer break between, changing line-ups of the band have recorded albums every five years. Their current CD Reach Beyond the Sun shows Shai Hulud from a surprisingly strong side.

Between The Buried And Me

This successor of The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues, the sequel on North Caroline-based Between The Buried And Me’s 2011-EP, continues the concept of Prospect I and II, the main characters in a somewhat dualistic, schizophrenic story.

For those who are trusted with this band’s complex, kinetic Modern Metalcore: this album is a ‘highlight’ (read: another continuously next chapter) in this band’s career.

(I haven’t really been such a ‘fan’ in the past, and unfortunately it won’t be different right now)

Gypsyhawk

Gypsyhawk is a four piece  rock and roll band that likes to party, states guitarist Andrew Packer. The band revisited the electrifying sounds of bullshit-free 70s rock, the band are a breath of fresh air compared to the endless onslaught of breakdown obsessed bands cluttering up heavy music.
