Patrons Of The Rotting Gate

Patrons Of The Rotting Gate are the solo-outfit of a Belfast-born guy, Andrew Ross Millar. Despite his very young age, he was capable to create this first full length all by himself: lyrics and music, vocals, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, programming, production, engineering, mix and mastering, and even the artwork! Only a friend of his, Adam Irwin, helped him out on some additional guitar lines. And seen the result, it is enormously impressing.

Numph

This Italian Progressive Rock/ Metal act from the Coastal villages of Massa and Carrera (situated some 55 km North of Pisa) was founded in late 2010 by members of a diverse and experienced background, which enabled them to set forth quite swiftly in writing and fine-tuning the material (3 tracks) for their June 2011 self-released EP Four Zoas.

Nihilo

In spite of their somewhat limited output (July 2008 self-released 6-track debut EP Nektophobia; October 2010's self-released full-length Concordia Perpetua; the March 2012 released EP's Antichrist and The Flaming Bed In Benum – issued as a double vinyl through Subversive Records; and the one-track single Infected, issued in May 2013 (both on vinyl and as download), also by Subversive), this Swiss band from the Emmental region (actual basis being the towns of Huttwil and Berne) has been around s

Mutoid Man

Okay, for starters, there's a band named Mutoid Man, which plays a “Synth-Punk” and includes bassist/ singer Chris Bauermeister (ex-Jawbreaker and currently also with Shorebirds), singer/ guitarist Matt Canino (ex-Latterman, now also RVIVR and Shorebirds), moog player Joey The Joester” (Doomhawk, The Pharmacy) and drummer Jeff Doyle (Chin Up, Meriw

Mudweiser

In a further move to get rid of some older releases (see also reviews of albums by [sic], Bad Guys, Héautontimorouménos, Morse, and Daughters), Mandaï Distribution now presents us with the second full-length album by Montellier, South of Fance, Heavy Stoner Rockers Mudweiser, whom we personally came across thanks to the in-between release of the 2011 EP Drug Queens, and as the review posted 17/07 of that year is still available in our “Archive” section, I

Morse

A further catch-up movement from the part of Mandaï Distribution (very possibly, the guys got the albums only rather recently) brings us a bit closer in time with the sophomore release of Montpellier based French band Morse (not to be confused with equally French band Mörse from Lille, in the North of the country, who play a Punk-Hardcore style of music) which takes its name from the french word for walrus.

Morning Dwell

Morning Dwell is a Swedish Power Metal band. At first Morning Dwell was the soloproject of Petter Hjerpe. He mostly wrote the songs by himself (occasionally with a friend) and recorded the songs at home.

Miserable Failure

Hailing from the Southern France stinkhole (so they state themselves!) of Marseille, the quartet known as Miserable Failure has been spewing its hateful Grindcore since their formation in 2012. The end of that same year saw recordings being started for the band's contribution (4 short-sharp-shock tracks) to the 2013 released split release with Infected Society and F Stands For Fuck You (a Benighted side-project), fittingly titled Miserable Society.

MaYan

When Dutch band MaYan were formed, they drew the attention of the worldwide press immediately. Reason: the great line-up. MaYan were formed by Mark Jansen, the guy behind Dutch top-acts such as After Forever, Sahara Dust / Epica or Les Faidits, and After Forever-colleague Jack Driessen.
