Known mainly as the founder of superb doomsters Orodruin and now defunct black metallers Crucifist, John Gallo has many alter egos and exciting musical incarnations though Blizaro is certainly the most adventurous and unpredictable of all.

It took a couple attempts to listen to this whole double album all the way through, but the technical capabilities of John Gallo and some of his friends are great, and I am particularly impressed by the inventive guitar playing and the scope of the keyboards. I'd say Blizaro play with very emotional dark melodies and a fair share of experimenting, with a certain resemblance to a lot of 70s/80s bands as Paul Chain, Antonio Rex, Death SS, Jethro Tull, … Elements of doom, prog, seventies rock, nwobhm, and just about everything else manages to creep into Blizaro’s musical palette. It seems to me that John Gallo listened to a lot of 70s horror movie scores too and it's interesting to hear Ennio Morricone, Goblin, Fabio Frizzi and Riz Ortolani starting to influence some of the newer generation. Try it if you need something different.
