For over twenty years of evil existence, Shyaithan’s Impiety have always been (one of) the most influential bands from the South-East of Asia. I’d like to refer to one of the reviews on any former record posted in the archives-page of Concreteweb to check out this project’s history / biography (for example Advent Of… on 11/04/2011 or Worshippers Of The Seventh Tyranny on 02/02/2011).

In early August, current label Hells Headbangers will release a new mini-release (The Impious Crucade; look out for the upcoming review in a couple of weeks), but as teaser for that new stuff, we can enjoy a compilation with very old and not that old yet hard to find material, collected as Vengeance Hell Immemorial.

Vengeance Hell Immemorial opens with two tracks from the EP Salve The Goat… Iblis Excelsi, which was originally release two decades ago specifically. It brings rough and raw barbaric and blaspheme Death / Black from the deepest pit, unfortunately with a sound beneath average (but this deals with a recording from twenty years ago, as mentioned above!). The material back then was inspired by the likes of Sarcofago, Blasphemy and Profanatica, and it was the first official release (after two rehearsing / demonstrational tapes), done via the Dutch Kult Underground Black label Shivadarshana.

Next come the very rare demonstration tape Ceremonial Necrochrist Redesecration, originating from 1992. One year earlier, there was a first (unofficial) rehearsal tape with a terrible sound quality, but the tracks from that recording were reinterpreted for this demo. Of course the sound sucks too, but I do not f*** care. Beherit, Blasphemy, Profanatica, Archgoat, NunSlaughter; this kind of stuff was created with sadistic pleasure and masochistic pain to torture our sickened grey cells.

The next track, Dragon Oath Diabolus, is taken from 1999’s split-EP with Profanatica (titled as Unholy Masters Of Darkness, and originally released by Samhain), and one of my all-time favourites; even though different from the original (need to check out the vinyl version again; the track, by the way, also appeared on 1997’s Funeralight EP). This is the purest definition of BLACK Metal from way beyond the bottomless Abyss. One sad element: the sound again, which is much too superficial. Vengeance … continues with material from two other splits. First comes the 2004-split with Thailand’s sweetest act Surrender Of Divinity, originally released through Unholy Horde Records as Two Majesties: An Arrogant Alliance Of Satan’s Extreme Elite. The material was more varying and little more melodic, but for sure not more merciful - on the contrary! It was the first stuff released by Shyaithan in co-operation with some Mexican collaborators (Shyaithan performed with musicians from all over our festering globe) and still with the intention to breathe the sulphuric stench of the Old School. It did (does) also include the Destruction-cover Invincible Force, professionally desecrated to satisfy our lust. And what to think about the weird nacho-excerpt called Blessed Are The Borachos?...

The compilation ends with the stuff from the split-MCD with Brazilian act Abhorrence, initially released as Two Barbarians in 2008 through Agonia Records. The sickly black-grinding and deathrashing stuff on the song Storm Of Abhorrence (a coincidence, this title?) is again a nasty fist in the face of the heavenly chieftain, and the outro (Outronomicon II: One Night At Black Zone) satisfies with an Eye Of The Tiger-rape, finally pissed all over...

Didn’t I tell you this would be a nice appetizer for the upcoming new studio recording?
