Inexistenz are a Slovenian one-man project by a guy called B., formed in 2010, with a first (and self-released) album shortly after (called Lebensweg). Inexistenz now return with the sophomore full length, Erfundene Welten, which lasts for about thirty six minutes (six tracks).

With Erfundene Welten, Inexistenz bring slow, melancholic and funereal Black Metal with not that much additional to add. It does not mean that it does bore, because it does not. It’s just that this specific entry has been done before a thousand times, I think. But whenever you are into depressing / depressive stuff, including the evident monotonous and repetitive rhythms, the scorched screams, and the organic yet unpolished sound, then you know what to expect. The average quality, by the way, despite the total lack of originality (who the f*ck cares about this anyway, if you are a ‘true’ adept?), is in every aspect above average. The performance, the song writing / constructions, and the sound; all of these important details are just fine, just more than acceptable. …nothing more than that for sure, yet certainly nothing less either… If you are ‘into’ this specific kind of Suicidal Black Metal (damn yeah, this current is called this way, but I do really detest it; it makes me anti-suicidal, hoping you will…), there is no reason at all to ignore this stuff. And even in an over-crowded scene this specific release might give self-mutilating pleasure…

Oh yes, this is something I do need to add. Despite the last track, Erfundene Welten is not of the cosmic or ambiental kind. With some infantile fantasy I would define it as rather Burzum-esque majesty than Shining-alike melancholy… for what this is worth…
