Long gone are  the days that  an Italian Metal album was a rarity,  these days not a week seems to go by without yet another Italian release. This time it’s Pleonaxia, if I look at the meaning of the word Pleonexia,  I am told it’s “the insatiable desire to have what rightfully belongs to others“….. The  band themselves  claim that what they serve is philosophical metal, a mixture  of  classic heavy metal, some epic influences and earthly honest hard rock…  That’s not what I am  hearing to be honest, I hear a very annoying drum sound, a vocalist with his spandex just a bit to tight a  bunch of too long  tracks  executed in such a manner that  they make me nervous…. Never a good sign…    one of the  lines  in the 3th track is “we must learn from our mistakes”. I suggest the band takes this to heart for a next album.
