Voices are a new project with a couple of former Akercocke-members. And those who are trusted with Akercocke might have a clue about what Voices stand for.

For the recording of From The Human Forest Create A Fugue Of Imaginary Rain, the Akercocke-trio David Gray / Peter Benjamin / Sam Loynes entered the Legacy Studio, owned by Dan Abela, who joined the eccentric outfit on this beautiful piece of Art. The result, which has duration of fifty four minutes, has become a very unusual and weird, but mostly original creation with all possible extremities in one. Of course you can expect the Black / Blast with that frenzy, noisy, psychopathic character which is courtesy of Akercocke (yet more focused on the Black-side than the defunct predecessed formation was). There are the mad outbursts à la Mistress and Anaal Nathrakh, or neurotic hyper-kinetics in the vein of December Wolves. You got psycho-grinding madness à la O.L.D. or Tech-Grind eruptions in the vein of Origin and Necrophagist… Combine orchestral passages (female vocals included, can you imagine?) with hysterical psychosis, avant-garde distortion with hypnotic Black Metal, sexual lunacy with industrialised extremities; it’s dissonant, destructive, insane, sadistic and unconventional; it is like a malignant, merciless brain-explosion, causing pierced eardrums, yet putting a sardonic grin on my pretty face…

Bid welcome to Voices!
