Weltfeind is a new label (actually it started in 2013), with three releases until now. It was founded by D., the guy who runs the superb Martial Industrial-label Castellum Stoufenburc as well.

A SLUDGE/DOOM  EP from BRAZIL is what I have on my platter, as  SLUDGE  it hard to chew and  even harder to swallow…  The  3 Tracks on ARCHAIC – good for  about 23 minutes of  heaviness are  a fine introduction to  the band  especially  CURRENTS OF IO   the longest and last  track  got my attention with his spoken intro ( seems like an introduction to a documentary of our solar system)  and continues monotone riffing which takes the listener on a  10 minute trip into deep space.

I have to admit that I am not that trusted with the Grind-scene from Australia; on the contrary. I even wasn’t trusted with Blastafuk Grindcore’s roster, but apparently this must be one of the most prominent Grind-labels from Down Under. Will Internal Rot start the new hype?

Harmony  is a Swedish metal band, that was formed in 2000 by Markus Sigfridsson.  They recorded a demo in 2001, and recorded their first album ‘Dreaming Awake’ in 2002, which was released via Massacre Records in 2003.  Their second album ‘Chapter II : Aftermath’ was released on Ulterium Records in 2008. This is their third album, and the second one released via Ulterium Records.

Uk groove rockers GRIFTER’s first album never reached this man’s ears thus “RETURN OF THE BEARDED BRETHREN”  is  for me  the introduction to the band.   Album opener “Black Gold”  is a clear statement for things to come. Hard rocking  southern grooving  boogie rock  from the school of the mighty CLUTCH or closer to home ORANGE GOBLIN  all be it that singer / guitarist Ollie STYGAL’s voice bares more resemblance  to – again CLUTCH ‘s Neil Fallon than to the infamous BEN WARD.

In spring 2015 we can expect a new full length from these southern / sleazy rockers,  until than we will need stay happy with this 5 track EP… and boy happy we are! Electric Mary are  yet again one of those  bands who raise the flag for uncomplicated hard rockin’  mania, as also brought to us by the likes of BLACKSTONE CHERRY, BLACKBERRY SMOKE , SCORPION CHILD …..  From Opening track SWEET MARY  to closer SO CRUEL, these guy’s  are  on fire, ALREADY GONE would be a DEEP PURPLE  classic on any record  they did since PERFECT STRANGERS.

In June 2014, Dawn Of A Dark Age released their first chapter of a six-piece concept about the six elements. Six? Well, actually, this hexaptych will deal with five elements, i.e. earth, water, fire, air and spirit, each sonically defined in an own album, with the sixth part being some general conclusion.

The Kerala, India-based act Chaos released a demo in 2009 with the name Violent Redemption, but since most tracks differ, you cannot call this album just a re-release, and nothing more either. This just for your sweet information…

An album that contains only 5 tracks, and has total playing time of just over 47 minutes is quite unusual.  The band already exists since 1997, and has previously released some demo’s and finally their first studio ‘Wher Memories Combine’ album in 2004.
