Stormwarrior is a German speed metal band that was formed in 1998 by vocalist and guitar player Lars Ramcke and his companion/drummer Andre Schumann. Later on in the same year, guitarist Scott Bolter and bass player Tim Zienert join the band. The members of Stormwarrior draw their musical influences from the 80's heavy metal, and can be compared to bands as Running Wild or even Helloween.

Their debut full-length album Stormwarrior (released in 2002), and their 2004 follow up Northern Rage were both produced by Kai Hansen (Helloween/Gamma Ray). Much of the band’s lyrical content is about Vikings.

And ever since that first album, these guys have been doing what they want to do and do what they do best. Make good music and have fun. And it shows off on this record. I’m not into Viking metal or whatever, but the enthusiasm of this band/record just rubs of keeps you getting back for more. I have to admit that if you are not a fan of the genre, the lyrics will become a bit boring after a few listening sessions, but have no fear because there is still the speed metal vibe that is actually very impressive.
