Pathogen

One might not believe it, but there is a very vivid Metal scene at the Philippine islands. That’s the case right now, and it was the case twenty years ago. Unfortunately the scene from that part of our wonderful planet isn’t known at all in our regions, except for underground-traders.

Neptrecus

Neptrecus was founded by Svarga (formerly known as Mgr H.) somewhere at the beginning of 2011. Claiomh joined the project as vocalist but got resigned and became the lyrics writer. The band's line-up was completed by the end of 2011 when Arawn (guitar), Loki (bass) and Aharon (drums) joined the band.

Maze Of Time

The story goes that one day in the middle of the last decade, guitarist/ songwriter Robert Edman returned home from a shopping trip in Helsinki, and having bought albums by the likes of The Flower Kings, Spock's Beard and Porcupine Tree, set to discovering the Third Wave of Progressive Rock! I mean, how can anyone with an interest in a specific field of music, in these modern days of Internet communication, be unaware of what's happening?

Lovelorn Dolls

This Brussels (Belgium, out of all places, dudes!!!) based Gothic Metal/ Electro Rock act was originally a duo composed of LadyHell (actual name Kristel, vocals) and Corpus Christi (music, guitars, programming, production), which released its debut EP An Intense Feeling Of Affection in 2010, only six months after first getting together.

Nero Di Marte

Once formed as Murder Therapy, Nero Di Marte’s constant evolution into extreme and experimental technics comes to its peak with this nameless full length. There are six tracks on the recording, yet the whole lasts for forty eight minutes, so expect no easy-listening effort.

Kvelertak

Kvelertak (Witch is Norwegian for "stranglehold" or "chokehold") is a six-piece rock band witch was formed in 2007. The group comprises of singer Erlend Hjelvik, guitar players Vidar Landa, Bjarte Lund Rolland and Maciek Ofstad, bass player Marvin Nygaard and drummer Kjetil Gjermundrød.

Krystal System

Right, before I actually get into the music on this album, I have a rectification to make. You see, in the review of my first encounter with this band, which was for the remixes EP Underground: Voodoo Night Sessions (review posted 20/12/2009) I made a small mistake, namely to assume that the band's full-length album Underground was still to be released...when in fact it had been issued a year prior to the EP, on Nov. 14, 2008. At that time our website had not yet re-connected with the people of Alfa Matrix yet.

Glis

A “glis”, in the animal world, is an apparently edible dormouse. Well, that's where I stopped reading on, because I didn't wanna know any more that thàt! So I went on to search, and found out there's a Los Angeles/ Copenhaven based Ambience/ Experimental “Fucked -up” Pop act by the name of Gliss (twó times “s”), and a one-man project named Glis Glis, playing Shoegazer-like music.

Blood Tsunami

Since the band released their former effort (Grand Feast For Vultures) in 2009, and because three of the members started another band / project (Mongo Ninja) around that time as well, I thought Blood Tsunami were no more. But praise the Gods of Trash! Blood Tsunami are back! This time, the band comes with a new bass player (a guitar player from Sweden, Carl Janfalk) and a new label they signed with (Indie), but that is not the most important difference with the past.
