You know, I remember having heard this band's fourth full-length album Confederacy Of Ruined Lives (2000) at a friend's place, somewhere at around the time I got involved in this website, actually, and having been blown away with the band's wacky mixture of Black Sabbath tonality and Post-Hardcore styled vocals.

When Carcass fell apart, two ex members Michael Amott and Johan Liiva joined forces with Daniel Erlandsson, and Amott’s younger brother Christopher, to form Arch Enemy. Their debut album ‘Black Earth’ was released in 1996, and obtained some success in Sweden but was better received in Japan.

Many fans were shocked with the announcement that long- time frontwoman ‘Angela Gossow’ would quit the band. But ‘Alissa White- Gluz’ is definetly a good replacement as wel as front- woman and vocalist, she has it all.
Triptykon is a musical project of Thomas Gabriel Fischer, founding member of the pioneering heavy metal bands Hellhammer, Celtic Frost and Apollyon Sun. Fischer announced his departure from Celtic Frost in May 2008 and shortly afterwards revealed his new project would be entitled Triptykon.
