Eluveitie

Origins is the sixth full length album by Swiss top-act Eluveitie, a band that does not necessarily needs any introduction. This newest album, available two years after the highly acclaimed Helvetios, was recorded at New Sound Studio with producer Tommy Vetterli (of Kreator- & Coroner-fame) with some new members.

Rage

Rage have been in the business for thirty years now, and have so far released 21 album, so what better way to celebrate this than to delve in their history.  But instead of re-recording existing songs, they chose tomake an album with previously unreleased songs, some as yet unheard of version of existing songs, and some demo-recordings of fractions of ideas that were left over from previous albums, and who were melted together into new songs.  There is even one song from the period when they were still called Avenger.

The expectations for the new album of ‘Sabaton’ where very high after their super release of ‘Carolus Rex’. Because it was their first release with their new line up we had to wait and see if it could compete with their previous album. The record itself is not bad but it’s sometimes to rushed and uninspired in my opinion.

Deathstars

After a long five years of waiting ‘Deathstars’ have risen from their graves with a new record called: ‘The Perfect Cult’ witch was released on (surprise, surprise…) Friday the 13th. It’s a solid ‘deathglam’ album wich stays in line of their previous work.

Epica

A band that has enjoyed as much worldwide success and acclaim as EPICA should have every right to rest on their laurels and stick to the proverbial "winning formula". And yet, as their fans across the globe are well aware, EPICA has never been a band to play it safe, and they've never made the same album twice. EPICA has earned its reputation as one of the foremost symphonic metal bands by repeatedly shattering expectations and pushing the very limits in the genre.
