Crone

Crone, and I’m not talking about the Australian band with Mandy Andresen and Yonn McLaughlin, nor the Californian Pagan / Black outfit, are a project with two experienced musicians, i.e. sG of Secrets Of The Moon-fame and Embedded’s Markus Renzenbrink. The duo wrote and recorded four tracks, which are now compiled as Gehenna, and which features guest vocals of ex-Swans / Skin member Jarboe (on Dead Man).

Crazy Lixx

So far this Swedish band has released 3 studio albums, so this self-named album is their fourth effort. What they bring us here is a mix of hair metal, combined with melodic hard rock, so this might be an album that pleases a lot of people. What this band reminds me of, are the glorious eighthies, with stadium bands like Def Leppard and Whitesnake, although their sound is not the same, due to the hair metal influences of course.

Attic

Southern Oregon-based Attic recorded the self-released album Seasons at 23 Below Studios (Wilderville, Oregon) with producer Scotty Gissel. With Seasons, the quintet (guitar players Christopher Pilcher and Nathaniel Tracey, drummer Otis Blankenship IV, bass player Joey Souza, and vocalist Jeremy DeGonia) bring thirty five minutes of groovy and technically executed Black / Death Metal.

Astarium

On November 11th 2014, Concreteweb put the review for Astarium’s Wyrm Of Melancholy online. It was kindly send to us by Metallic Media, which did send us this album, Atenvx, as well.

Arcana Coelestia

After two fabulous albums on the great ATMF-label, Arcana Coelestia return with the third full length, this time via Milan-based Avantgarde, a label I do follow for two decades, and which has become one of the most important ones within my musical spectrum.

A Liquid Landscape

Huh...I could've sworn that I had come across this Dutch Alternative/ Prog Rock band before, or at least that the band's debut album had come through the ConcreteWeb headquarters, because somehow the album's cover art looks so familiar to me. But a little research learned me that this was not so. Ach well, let's look into the band history then, shall we?

The Dead

I thought The Dead were dead. We haven’t experienced anything anymore since 2009, but this Australian trio finally return with their third full length (after 2007’s self-titled debut, and the 2009-album Ritual Executions).

Steve Foglia

This Steve Foglia’s second solo album, after the 2011 release ‘Revenge’  On his first album he had songs done with Adam Bomb and Mike Vescera, and for this album he has none other than Blaze Bailey doing one song.

Retribution

Spanish act Retribution return with their second full length, about seven years after the debut (FYI: there was an EP as well in mean time). With this record, Retribution go on in the vein of the former material, but it sound much more refined and professional for sure. On Corpus Antichristi Y3K, the line-up, by the way, is: Noos (lead guitars), L.

Rated X

I guess you can’t get more classic hard rock than what this outfit brings us, which is no wonder if you see the line-up of this band.  First of all you get Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep ¨Purple, Whitesnake) on vocalx, then you get Karl Cochran (Ace Frehley) on guitars, next in line is Tony Franklin (The Firm, Blue Murder, Whitesnake) on bass guitar, and last but not least Carmine Appice (<
