Kâhld

Kâhld are a new project by LukHass, founded earlier this year in Baden-Württemberg. You might know this guy from ‘old’ Black Metal-act Cryptic Forest (they released their debut full length last year; Ystyr), but as Rakshasa, he’s also active in Black Metal-duo Endstadium or Innenkrieg, a Black-outfit he shares with bassist Jerndod, who’s part of Kâhld’s line-up too. Both projects however have nothing to do with each other.

Entombed AD

Allright, first of all if the  name  Entombed  does not ring a bell  then  you should ask yourself where you  have been the last 24 years…. as there is no denying that these Swedes  may  be added to the handful of bands  which will always serve as a reference when the work of newer bands in the same genre – this being Deathmetal or death’nroll  if you like-  needs to be reviewed by a poor hobby writer as myself. Just to say that when there epic debut album “left hand path”  saw the light of day  back in 1990?

Dying Out Flame

How many bands do you know that come out from Nepal? I didn’t know any at all, until now. Dying Out Flame are a young quartet from the capital of Kathmandu, and apparently there is quite an active scene out there. I hope to ‘meet’ more from that era, but let’s focus on this band and album right now.

Bury Tomorrow

Bury Tomorrow are a five piece British melodic metalcore band that was formed in 2006 in Hampshire, England. Their initial line up was consisting of guitarist and clean vocalist Jason Cameron, drummer Adam Jackson, vocalist Daniel Winter-Bates, bassist Davyd Winter-Bates (his brother) and lead guitarist Mehdi Vismara. They released their first album in 2007.

Zombiefication

For a history / biography / discography about this Swedish, excuse me, this Mexican project, I would like to refer to the reviews I did for the Reaper’s Consecration-MCD (posted on December 9th 2012) or the last full length At The Caves Of Eternal (see update June 2nd 2013). As you can see / read, I was enormously enthusiastic about this stuff.

Wrathful Plague

The Salem, Illinois-based project Wrathful Plague was formed almost ten years ago by Nostaum, whom you certainly do know as well from Fecund Betrayal. On November 10th 2014, by the way, Concreteweb did update the review for Fecund Betrayal’s Depths That Buried The Sea, which was released as well via Metallic Media.

Krigsgrav

Texas-based act Krigsgrav were formed by David ‘Vortigern’ Sikora (not to be confused with Arizona’s Vortigern aka Rubeus), and the band nowadays also consists of some colleagues from other bands David is involved with (like Heimar, Valsgarde or Of Oak).

Warfuck

Warfuck are a side-project by two Obnoxious-members, Matthieu ‘Mak’ Gamet and Nicolas Latreille. In spring 2012 Warfuck released a first collection of lullabies, called The Weak And The Wicked (self-released), and on December 13th 2013 they came up with the successor, the independently released sonic assault Neantification.

Under The Ocean

Under The Ocean are an Italian five-piece, formed in 2006 in the city of Parma as Firstborn Underocean. In the beginning they played a modern form of Metalcore / Deathcore, cf. their debut album Gates (2011, shortly after the changed their moniker from Firstborn Underocean into the current one).

Sguaguarahchristis

Somewhere in early 2008, Irish guy John JesuJ.J.’ Nehero formed the project SG666 in order to pay tribute to old Burzum. After having written and recorded some demonstrational material, he joined forces with Italian drummer Ordalak, and they started writing on what would eventually become their debut album, Self Inflicted Genocide.
