Arcanum Sanctum

Nadir Promotion and Buil2Kill Records released a couple of new albums in 2012, which have been send to our headquarters recently through the promotional staff behind the label. Some of them were transported into my hemisphere, so (in a couple of cases) I will be glad to …

Veritas Odium Parit by Russian trio (originally a one-man project) Arcanum Sanctum lasts for half an hour and just like the 2010-debut Fidus Achates, the stuff was mixed and mastered at the NavahoHut in Moscow.

The Wakedead Gathering

The label I, Voidhanger gave us the honourful opportunity to load down a handful of recordings that were officially released on October 16th of the long-forgotten year 2012. I do have the honour to listen to this stuff and, despite two boxes filled with new material still waiting to be reviewed, I’ll try to write down my subjective yet, of course, intensively professional and thrilling opinion ‘bout them as soon as possible.

Klaus Schubert

Klaus Schubert, an Austrian Jack of all trades who played in bands like "Titty Twister Band" and the "Rock Bunnies" looks back on his long-term existence as a musician. A man i actually never heard of (or those bands), but this record is a collection of riffs from those bands over the years (re-mastered of course).

Decrepitaph

American act Decrepitaph, consisting of two highly experienced musicians (Elektrokutioner and Sinworm), are known for numerous releases. Many of them were released as part of a split-EP, often on vinyl edition only. Therefore any compact disk-possessor and Gore / Death lover cannot but growl out loud: aaaaaarghhhh!

Forgotten Scriptures (The Collection), indeed, is a compilation with material taken from several splits the duo did in the past, including a couple of previously unreleased songs too.

Behexen

The huge scene from Suomi has bands / projects in between ‘I can’t stand at all’ till ‘hail and praise’. Behexen for sure do belong to the second category. I follow them since their debut Rituale Satanum (Sinister Figure, 1999/2000).

Victoria Celestine

This young musician/ singer (born in San Antonio, TX during 1996!) may be meddling in a musical genre which will be frowned upon by many of our readers, but when those same people will listen to Victoria's material for the first time, I doubt very much that they will mind continuing to listen to her “Pop” tunes!

Fair Play

Fair Play is the instrumental musical project of Swedes Mats Sannetorp (guitarist/ keyboardist; been in several bands over the years, with a preference towards Hard Rock and Blues – other band: Sannetorp Bluesband) and Leif Carlsson (studio technician/ producer, also plays guitar & keyboards; been in several bands, the last being Magic, active in the '90s), both from Brunflo, a small town situated some 15 SW from Östersund (Jamtlands Ian, Middle of Sweden).

Violet Gibson

In 2007, when Michelangelo and Tony hooked up to work together, the band, Violet Gibson, was born. but under a different name at the time . After an intense writing phase, the two of them, along with singer Matteo Brozzi they brought life this group’s first Demo when they were originally called Last Vegas.

The Other

Since the release of their previous album (review by yours truly posted 05/06/2010 – still available in this website's archives files), Germany's prime Horror Punk act The Other went through some changes, introducing Viktor Sharp into their line-up as their new bassist.
