Gerald Krampl

After his previous album, October 2010's Lighthouse (review by yours truly was posted somewhere...in January 2011), Gerald Krampl went on the lookout for a violinist to create the string sounds he used to bring to his music through the means of keyboards, as he was attempting to make his next album sound more like a Neo-Classical/ Ambient Chamber music experience.

Gaskin

I don't know what has happened to Gaskin.

An album like End of the World was a goodie, but all of the following albums had not been bad, but lacking power! At the roots, this is a classic NWOBHM-album, however, the heaviness has been downed a notch or two, and the vocals are in a clean, almost infantile Ozzy-ish vein. Depending on how you look at it, you could say it's AOR with a NWOBHM edge, or Heavy Metal with a scoop o' stinking cheese. The final outcome is a seemingly unfocused album that just doesn't gel.

Daylight Dies

Daylight Dies were originally formed in 1996 in Asheville, yet in mean time they relocated to Raleigh (North Carolina). Throughout the years, the band recorded different studio works, amongst which three full length, and without exception all of them were reviewed extremely positively by the international press.

Bones & Comfort

Singer / guitarist Daniele Murroni started this band back in 2006, to express his need to play the kind of pure Rock 'n' Roll without frills he liked best. He found bassist Alberto Trentanni and drummer Luca Romanò shared his musical views, and rather than complicate things, the band stayed in that power trio format.

Adramelch

According to the promotional information, this band, who were formed in 1987 in Milan, is different from the rest of the Italian scene, offering prog metal elements, some gloom death references and gothic atmospheres.

Maryann Cotton

Mary Ann Cotton was an English woman convicted of murdering her children and believed to have murdered up to 21 people, mainly by arsenic poisoning. On Free Falling Angels the real angels are composer Jackie Patino, his father Hal Patino, guitarists Andy La Rocque and Pete Blakk and drummer Snowy Shaw.

Machine Head

Machine Head is an American trash metal band from Oakland, California (Bay area). The band was formed in 1992, and was founded by Adam Duce and Robb Flynn. The band came to life when Flynn felt musically unfulfilled in previous band Vio-lence and requested to start a side project. When his request was denied, he left the band and formed Machine Head in 1992 with Adam Duce, Logan Mader and Tony Constanza.

Lastwind

Although Return is Paul Hayles first solo album, the UK keyboard player is most widely known for his mid seventies membership of Hawkwind . The sonic assassins included on Lastwind are bassist Hugo Morgan (The Heads), drummer Ken Pustelnik (The Groundhogs), guitarists Latch Manghat and Sol Latif.

Hierosonic

Have you ever wondered what an album would sound like if nu-metal, emo, industrial, pop and shitty hip hop would sound like if they were all combined? For those of you who haven’t and don’t care. Well good for you because you’re spared from this waste of disc space. To anyone who doesn't have an interest in this genre (e.g me) it's really a chore to listen to, and to anyone who actually does like this sort of music I'm sure there is better stuff out there.
