I’d like to start this review with an excerpt from the bio. “Music is an obscure and ambiguous discipline, whose forms reflect in full light the mysteries of the soul. As most of the art forms, it deals with the paradox of the materialization of thoughts, feelings and beliefs. It reveals what is hidden, dives deep in the depths of mind, and brings back its ghosts to the surface for everyone to see.”
Felipe ‘Herumor’ V. is quite a known grunter within the Chilean Underground Death Metal scene. He has been, or still is, active in acts such as Projector, Mar De Grises (I truly adore this band!), Ancestral, Abaddon and Timecode. His main project, however, is his solo-outfit Aura Hiemis, which he started in 2004.
Wolf’s Hunger are a Serbian band that was formed at the end of last century, although it was under another name. the band did split up soon after, but they returned, now as Wolf’s Hunger, in 2002. The band recorded some demos and a split with fellow countrymen Posmrtna Liturgija (2005, Grom Records), soon after followed by a first full-length album (Retaliation In Blood, 2007, once again via Grom Records). then the band did split up once more.
Har are a young project but consisting of experienced musicians from Israel. The members of this Tel Aviv based act were or are in other notorious bands such as Mortuus Umbra, Witchcraft Sadomizer, Mocous Scrotum (hey guys, are you still alive?), Sonne Adam and so on. The band independently released a first EP in 2014, called Baal Ha’ov (there was a tape-edition too, quite limited, via Orgasmatron Records), and then everything seemed to fade away in total silence.
Ungraved Apparition are a young band from Ekaterinburg, a city at the feet of the Ural Mountains in the Russian Federation. The band was formed in 2014 by guitar player Micky Babossa, joined by drummer Paul Kas (who takes care of the visuals too) and bassist Leon Kratt. When vocalist Damned and guitarist Bones Taker joined, the five-piece was ready to record their first album.

Not that long ago, I came in touch with Raffaele Pezzella, a Naples-born artist who is even older than I am (two years and a handful of days more of age). In his late twenties, Raffaele started experimenting more actively as sound artist, and especially electronic research, as well as some guitar-based improvisation, became his main topics. His first steps into sonic areas also concerned mastering and mixing duties for other artists all over the globe.
Even though this album was released two years ago, I still want to write down my thoughts on it. There are several reasons. First of all, the quality of the Aural Art. I will come back to this immediately. Also of importance is the fact that Frozen Light recently released the successor of this album. In preparation for my review on that new album, which is called моменты (‘momenty’, meaning ‘moments’), I prefer to come back on this former release first.
A largely underestimated band from Poland, to my opinion, was Iugulatus. At the beginning of this decade, this horde release a limited number of intriguing albums, and shortly after the finishing of Satanic Pride, singer Balrog and drummer Wojtass decided to quit in order to focus on Slain. The remaining members, however, wanted to go on, so they continued, be it as Architect Of Disease. We’re talking about the year 2012.
