Stryper

Beginning this year Christian rockers Stryper signed a deal with Frontiers Records which resulted already in the release of ‘Second Coming’, an album with fourteen classic songs re-recorded plus two new songs. Now with ‘No More Hell To Pay’ they present a brand new original studio album and again with the original line-up of Michael Sweet (vocals/guitar), Oz Fox (guitar), Tim Gaines (bass), and Robert Sweet (drums).

Obliteration

Obliteration’s debut album Perpetual Decay, Tyrant Syndicate 2007, was probably my favourite Norwegian non-Black Metal album that very same year. Their second full length, Nekropsalms (label: Fysisk Format), was even awarded (in different mags, like Natt Og Dag), and voted as best album of the year (Osloprisen). It leaded to a tour in both Europe and North America, and the band could perform live on stage at different huge festivals.

Gwar

Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, there was an elite group of chaos warriors who have been plundering the galaxy with a boundless hatred of all things alive. They were called the Scumdogs of the Universe, and they grew in might and fury, the greatest weapon in the arsenal of their cosmic Master.

But they became too powerful, and too defiant, and for their cosmic crimes were banished to the most insignificant planet in the universe…the seething mud ball known as Earth.

Zemial

Finally we have a new Zemial-album. The last one, In Monumentum, dates from 2006, so it means that Mister Jim ‘Archon Vorskaath Necroslaughter’ (also: ex-Varathron, Agatus, Alpha Centauri etc.) and his horde had made us waiting impatiently for too long. Not anymore now…

Yellowcard

Although this American band started out as a Punk Rock act with Hardcore leanings, they grew more and more commercial over the years, first sliding their way into the Pop Punk world (with 2003's album Ocean Avenue as their break-though album).

Vattnet Viskar

In spite of their bandname (which is Swedish for 'the water is whispering'), Vattnet Viskar is an American Atmospheric Black/ Doom Metal band from Plaistow, New Hampshire, where it was founded during Summer 2010 by guitarists Chris Alfieri and Nicholas Thornbury (the latter also taking on the task of lead vocalist), with Alan Sobodacha and Colin Conway ( see also Death Ray Vision, Frozen, Sentinel, Soul Remnants – formerly of The Ye

The Sterling Sisters

Aha...another act in the “Denver Sound” sub-genre, but this time with electrified guitar! Oh well, Baltimore (Maryland) may be somewhat removed from Colorado, but The Sterling Sisters dó combine elements of Gothic, Country, Neo-Folk, and Dark Americana!

The Safety Fire

This London based British band was founded by longtime friends Derya Nagle (guitar) and Lori Peri (bass), who picked up their respective instruments at the age of 14, and decided to start a band.

The Earls Of Mars

After a decade of solo work under the monicker Onethirtyeight (a wacky piano 'n' keyboards based soundtrackish kinda thing with some very weird topics, either in lyrical or visualized context – check out some of those videos at (www.) onethirtyeight.co.uk – with four releases to its name : 2002's Case #6 EP, 2003's Bring Out Your Living EP, the 2006 The Sister EP-CD, and the 2009 full-length CD (+ DVD) London Transmissions), London-based Dan Hardingham suddenly felt the need to start something in a band configuration agai

Shitfucker

First of all, the cover artwork. Different for the German / European and American market. Check out why, and don’t deny ignorance, arrogance and narrow-mindedness. No further comment…
