Well well, seems like Greek metallers of Rotting Flesh are still around… No flesh rotting yet out there…

Funeral Of God are an Italian act that were formed in 2010 by Paolo ‘Odio’ Cerretini, also involved with extreme acts such as Mincer, In League With Satan, Glioblastoma, G.N.C. or Red Bible Black. Soon Paolo (bass and lead guitars, drum programming) got joined by Ukrainian artist Mariya Popyk.

There was a Polish band called Darkstorm during the nineties, with a couple of demos that, back then, were quite appropriate to the scene. After the album / EP The Black Stone, however, the project ceased its activities. It was a pity, for there might have been a ‘future’ for this unholy horde. Apparently there was a return as Ravenlord Darkstorm (founding member Lord Darkstorm did not want to use the original moniker), yet that wasn’t but just a brief revival.

Aquila is a solo-outfit by Atheosoph, whom you might know from his collaboration in (sadly defunct) Rein (review for their sole album La Cocaïne Des Seigneurs: see update of March 5^th 2016). Under the Aquila-moniker, Atheosoph recorded a first demo-tape, Les Larmes De L’Aigle (‘tears of the eagle’), which was released in a limited edition in September 2014 via Werewolf Promotion.

Undersigned was totally blown away (figuratively) by Grimirg’s debut album MMXV-I; check out the review that was published on December 13^th 2015. Both the project (Grimirg) and the label (Patologian Laboratorio Productions) are courtesy of Aki Klemm aka Grim666, for your information.

The ancient city of Tier, not that far away from Moscow, capital of the Russian Federation, has quite an interesting history. Unfortunately, the old Soviet institutes sort of ‘killed’ quite some elements from the culture and traditions of that era, at the shores of the river Volga. But are several bands out there that try to revive the forgotten glory of that era / area, and amongst those is this one: Kreiviskai. The band was formed in 2013, and soon after their birth, the quartet started working on their debut full album.

Faunus Amadeus Loki acts under different monikers, both in collaboration with other artists (think Dracul - Order Of The Dragon), as well as solo (Herrenvolk, Stark von Oben, Endoki Forest); I recently wrote and updated the review for Endoki Forest’s Black Sorcerers Forest or Herrenvolk’s EP Imperator – see the upload of March 4^th 2016 and March 28^th 2016 respectively.

Abysmal Growls Of Despair are a very young yet extremely productive solo-project from Aimeric ‘Hangsvart’ Lerat, hailing from the south of France.

To celebrate their fifteenth year of existence, Quercus present us their third full length album, two years after Sfumato. This Czech act, with members from Umbrtka (vocalist Ondřej ‘Lord Morbivod’ Klášterka and multi-instrumentalist Lukáš Kudrna, with newly recruited keyboardist Marek ‘Markko’ Pišl), recorded this lengthy five-tracker over a period of almost one year.

Piotr Cisak is a Polish musician / artist that surprised me more than once in the past. Especially the album released as Arsenne + Cisak + Oleksiński did satisfy my eardrums and brain (see update January 17^th 2016 for my enthusiastic review…).
