Black Autumn
Germany’s Black Autumn were formed by M. Krall in 1995. The first years this solo-project did not release anything official, yet as from this century on, Black Autumn turned out to be a rather productive entity.

This Austin, Texas based band was started as an “unrelated” side-project by Averse Sefira members Jeff Tandy (bass & lead vocals from its formation until its demise) and Mark Perry (drums in that band since 2001) in 2008 in an effort to revive the Crossover Thrash Metal genre in a legitimate fashion, although Tandy at the same time also stated that Birth A.D. was never meant as a full-time act.

American combo Lucifer D. Larynx And The Satanic Grind Dogs Of Death (what’s in a name?...) perform Corpse Fucking Necro Metal. So, the most difficult part of this review has passed…
On the September 9th 2014’s Concreteweb-update we included the Pagan Assault-review for the Révolte Contre La Destinée-album. Pagan Assault is a solo-outfit by Frenchman KFD, the same guy who runs Soleil Blanc Productions, and the same guy behind Anthropophobe. The latter is a largely underestimated project that released a first album in 2012, which was called Le Royaume Des Morts (‘kingdom of the dead’).
Wolf Hoffmann | Guitar
Peter Baltes | Bass
Mark Tornillo | Vocals
Herman Frank | Guitar
Stefan Schwarzmann | Drums
Fans of the band will know what to expect from ‘Blind Rage’ but for those of you who are still unfamiliar, I need only say two words ‘HEAVY METAL’!
Two years after the first demo-tape, which was called God’s Abomination, the Finnish horde Obscure Burial returns with the sophomore demonstrational recording, once again released on cassette via mighty Invictus Productions. The band, with members of Ancestors Blood, Inferi, Kadotus and Urgamla, is quite experienced, seen the members’ other outfits, and it shows!
Charnia are a quartet (Seppe Batens, Thibaut Meiresonne-Keppens, Diederik Van Eetvelde, and Jelle Pieters) from the Waasland-region, Belgium, formed in 2012. They built quite some impressive live reputation, yet for this debut we had to wait two years. But no tears anymore, for now we can enjoy the first studio recording, Dageraad (Dutch for ‘dawn’ or ‘daybreak’).
As I mentioned here, 2014 is becoming an excellent year for Heavy Metal. The 53-year old German guitar player Axel Rudi Pell, who has been on the road since 1981, has just released his sixteenth studio album, ‘Into the Storm’, and the final result is so pleasant that it will be hard for any headbanger not to enjoy it.
