Dhwesha

I honestly do not know that many interesting bands from India, with a couple of exceptions, such as Demonic Resurrection (their new album The Demon King will be written and updated in a couple of minutes (slightly optimistic); you can also read the review I did for the former album, The Return To Darkness, posted on October 27th 2010 – see Concreteweb’s Archive) or Kryptos (update October 31st 2012: album The Coils Of Apollyon).

Deviator

I do not know if I can call it a present to humanity, but to celebrate their definitive and irreversible farewell, Deviator bless / curse mankind with a compilation, which sees the light (and darkness!) through Germany’s top-label Pesttanz Klangschmiede (about ten other releases have been reviewed recently by undersigned, and have been posted in July, August or September; check the site and find out what qualitative material Pesttanz have to offer…).

Abysmal Depths

In 2010, Abysmal Depths were formed as Du Temps Perdu, but this Mexican band changed its name into the current moniker in 2012. As Du Temps Perdu, there was a split-album with Astarot, Lux Funestus and Neftaraka (2011, Metallic Media), called Humo, Cenizas Y Muerta…, but this was the sole release under that name. Those tracks, by the way, have been re-recorded for their debut full album under the Abysmal Depths-moniker.

Work Of Art

Work Of Art” a young melodic / AOR rockband founded in Sweden in 2008. Current members are : Lars Säfsund – vocals, Robert Säll – guitars, keyboards, Herman Furin – drums.

Vomiting Corpses

The German band Vomiting Corpses was active in between 1988 and 1995. In that period, they released two demo tapes (The Call and Cold Blood), followed by a full length LP in 1995, called Coma: The Spheres Of Innocence. It was released via Invasion Records, a German sub-division of Sweden’s Black Diamond Productions (both of them are defunct in mean time). Then they split up, and some members went on to form Anasarca.

The Dagger

Line Up :

Jani Kataja – Vocals

David Blomqvist – Guitars

Tobias Christiansson – Bass

Fred Estby – Drums

I have been having an affair with Scandinavian rock for a number of years now, so I was quick to stick my hand up to review the debut self-titled album by Swedish band ‘The Dagger.’ There is a hell of a lot of bands at the moment that are mining that ‘classic’ metal sound from the seventies and early eighties, ‘The Dagger’ prove that it’s not a bad thing.

Stryper

Stryper an oldschool Christian Heavy Metal / Hard Rock band founded in Orange County, California in 1983. Stryper stands for "Salvation Through Redemption Yielding Peace, Encouragement and Righteousness". The Isaiah 53:5 under their logo is the Bible verse that states "by His stripes we are healed." Current members are: Michael Sweet: Lead vocals, guitar - Oz Fox: Vocals, guitars - Tim Gaines: Bass, vocals - Robert Sweet: drums.

Rebellious Spirit

Rebellious Spirit a very young metal band founded in the southern Germany. Never heard about them but I think not the last time. Current members are Jannik Fischer (vocals, guitars), his brother Jens (bass), Silvio Bizer (drums) and Corvin Domhardt (guitar).

Onkel Tom

Onkel Tom is a German group founded by “Onkel Tom Angelripper” playing metal versions of schlagers, drinking songs and Christmas carols. Maybe you recognize Tom Angelripper from Sodom. Yes this is his solo project alive and kicking.

Lucifer’s Fall

Lucifer’s Fall are the brainchild of Rote Mare’s founding member Phil ‘Deceiver’ Howlett, who started this project in 2013. After a demonstrational recording and a one-track EP, it was time to record the debut full length, which distribution will be done via Australian Doom-label Rotedoom Records.
